New Year, New …Numbers.

After weeks and weeks of disappointment with our phone company, we’re happy to say we finally have phone service; however, we have a new number for our phones AND our fax.

Construction

Please excuse our virtual mess! The design offices of Distinctive Directions currently consists of sort of a construction scene! As of December 1st, we’ve moved and even though it has not disrupted usual business, we’re still attempting to clean up our mess a bit.

Mess #1 – In the next few days we will be working very hard to restore our phones. Our customers are able to call and leave a message; however, a designer is unable to answer any phone calls. We are checking all voicemails and returning those immediately. We appreciate your patience and apologize for this!

Mess #2 – As you may have noticed, our Fall Savings Sale expired on November 30th….well not exactly. We are still honoring our Fall Savings Sale discounted prices!! The website will be updated as soon as humanly possible!

Mess #3 – Due to our virtual construction and other details, our normal business hours are changing. We’re uncertain to what exact hours at the moment; however, we will publish those on the website asap! I’ll let you in on a little secret… we’re working after hours – like in the weee early morning and the late late evening! – to ensure we’re giving all of our customers as much attention as possible!

We apologize for all of this and hope to have all of this mess cleaned up very soon!! Thank you for hanging in with us!

Holiday Hours & Availability

We will be closed on Thursday, November 26th, 2009 to observe the Thanksgiving Holiday; however, we will be available intermittently to any Rush Service customers who may need a custom wedding map proof or revised proof.

The days leading up to and immediately following the Thanksgiving Holiday we will be available as usual to all customers.

New Fonts!

For Distinctive Directions, fonts are an addiction! We have over 1000 different fonts and font variations! We LOVE fonts! Can you tell?

When we started our company, we wanted you, the customer, to be able to choose whatever fonts you wanted! We realize it took time to choose the fonts and characteristics of your wedding invitation! We strive to MATCH your wedding invitation when designing your custom wedding or event map! We want your map to appear like a piece of the ensemble, not like a sore thumb!

We acquire new fonts very often and we’re often introduced to new fonts! It’s very difficult to list every font we own; however, on our website we have displayed some of our favorites and some of our most widely used fonts!

Here are just a handful of some of the new fonts we’ve added:

Mrs Eaves Petite Caps – Small Caps and All Caps font versions are becoming more and more popular in the wedding invitation realm. This is one of our new favs!

Distinctive Directions will be experiencing many exciting events in the near future and we figured it was time to start a BLOG! As we hop into the Blog and Social Networking Bandwagon, we hope that you will follow us and share in the celebration of our growth and ventures!

The truth is, we are behind. We invite you to join us as we take baby steps to build this blog (right now it’s rather plain and, in our opinion, unattractive), dive head first into social networking sites such as Facebook, and bathe in the new found spotlight as we experience our very first magazine feature!
